Ian Lallow

Ian Clare Lallow
Martin Woodward
After a seven-year apprenticeship, Ian went into the family business, Clare Lallow, taking over the running of the business after his father retired in 1977.

Ian worked built built two ‘Morning Cloud’ yachts for Sir Edward Heath, in 1971 and 1973, as well as building ‘Roundabout’ for Sir Max Aitken, 1965, which he also raced on with Sir Max.

He went to three Olympic Games as a Boatman and travelled the world because of his work.
