I mean regulations now is fantastic. When I started sailing at Gurnard in about 1949, we had a rowing boat as a Rescue Boat. Now you have to have one Rescue Boat for every eight boats, and they have to be out on the water during the racing.

One chap nearly drowned. After a while, Gurnard Sailing Club actually got an outboard motor for it, an old Seagull outboard motor for their Safety Boat.
