I think we said Coastguarding is a lot of waiting around and inactivity and then a sudden hectic activity and then you go back again.

But, of course, during the summer months you never knew and weather conditions made a lot of difference to it.

Strong winds, fog, that’s when people used to get into trouble and sometimes on very sunny days; kids getting lost, people wanting to climb cliffs and things like that.
