John W: I imagine they used to make their own nets but latterly in the sort of 1920’s and 30’s, they used to get the nets from Bridport and they used to come in by sea to Chaplain’s at St Helen’s Quay, because I got some invoices at home from I think it’s the actual ones that we used to get them from Bridport.

They had to maintain them of course when they got snagged or broken.

John L: Yeah, I used to buy gear from Bridport.
